Muzaffarpur Hooch Death Toll Mounts to Six

Patna: Hooch’s death in the village of Sirissiya and Manikpur under the Kanti Block in the Muzaffarpur district rose to six as another victim who gave up on a lazy night Wednesday night.
The deceased, Krishnanandan Ojha (35), was a resident of Kaparpura Village under Manikpur Narottam Pancayat.
On Tuesday, SiKil Rai (65), Dilip Rai (53) and Sumit aka Gopi (28) died.
Rambabu Rai (67) and Ashok Rai (50) died on Monday.
However, the body of Ashok Rai and Sumit were cremated without telling the police.
SiKil and dilip were treated at a private hospital in Juran Chhapra at Muzaffarpur where they died on Tuesday.
DSP (West) Abhishek Anand confirms Ojha’s death.
He said at all six people, including Mukhiya candidates, had been arrested in connection with Hooch’s death.
Raids is above the arrest of others involved in the brewing of illegal liquor and supply in the area, he added.
Locals complained to IG (Range Tirhut) Ganesh Kumar that Mukhiya candidates had offered a fluid of the victim’s country for free, which caused their death.
Initially, two deaths were reported, said an inquiry officer.

They were hospitalized where they died during treatment.
