Myanmar Junta Court Postpones Vondict Suu Kyi

Yangon: The Myanmar Junta Court on Monday was postponed giving his verdict in the trial of Aung San Suu Kyi for importing and having a Walkie Talkie illegally, a source with the knowledge of the case.
The Nobel Winner has been detained since the generals made a coup against his government on February 1, ending the short period of democracy of the Southeast Asian state.
National protests against Putsch have been filled with bloody hard acts, with more than 1,300 people killed and more than 11,000 were arrested, according to local monitoring groups.
Suu Kyi, 76, will hear the verdict of the accusation he imports illegally and has the latest walkie-talkie – the latest in the assessment catalog in the Junta Court who can see it imprisoned for the rest of his life.
But the judge delayed this case until December 27 without explanation, the source with the knowledge of the case to AFP.
Earlier this month, he was imprisoned for four years to incitement towards the military and violated Covid restrictions, in a broad decision condemned by the international community.
Head of Junta Min Aung Hlaing then did this term into two years and said he would serve his sentence under house arrest in the capital of Naypyidaw.
Suu Kyi could face three years in prison if he was found guilty of the allegations of the Walkie-Talkie, which came from the early hours of the coup when the army and the police raided their homes and allegedly found it to have a smuggle equipment.
Under cross examination, Raiding Party members admitted that they did not have a search warrant for the attack, according to a source with knowledge of this issue.
Suu Kyi was also charged with various corruption, each of which could be sentenced to 15 years in prison – and violated the official secret law.
Journalists have been banned from attending special court hearings in Naypyidaw and their recent lawyers are prohibited from talking to the media.

The Min Aung Hlaing regime has limited him to an undisclosed location in the capital, with his relationship with the outside world limited at a short pre-Persidian meeting with his lawyer.
Junta also threatened to dissolve its national league for democracy, citing alleged fraud in 2020 elections that international observers said were mostly free and fair.
A Junta election commission that investigates the charges of fraud during the poll will report its findings in early 2022, the Information Minister told the press conference this month.
In recent weeks, other senior members of NLD have received old sentences.
A former minister was sentenced to 75 years in prison, while Suu Kyi Aide was placed imprisoned for 20 years.
