Vadodara: A woman from Godhra who visited Pakistan about 15 times was arrested after it was revealed that he had two passports in his name.
The woman was denied by a court session at Godhra on Tuesday.
The Panchmahal Police Special Operations Group (SOG) was told in a letter in August about one Memuna Khatun had two passports.
Alleged that the woman had one passport where she had used her father’s name as the second name and another passport where she used her husband’s name as the second name.
The police started an investigation into this problem and it was revealed that the woman often visited Pakistan.
The police also obtained a passport detail released on behalf of Memuna Ahmed Ballu and Memuna Khatun Mohammedhanif Durvesh from the regional passport office.
It happened that the accusation in the letter was correct and the passport was the same woman.
The police claimed that the woman stated that she used to visit Pakistan by train even when she often traveled with air.
When the woman filed a guarantee on Tuesday, it was challenged with various reasons.
It was stated that he was from a middle class family and could not travel by air.
The prosecution also saw the recent espionage case involving people from Godhra.
It was also said that the woman failed to deposit one of the passports held by him.
Guarantees were rejected on Tuesday by the court.
