Nagpur: City Police have identified 173 unsafe locations, including 47 private places, through security audits carried out as part of increased safety and security for women and girls.
Only 20% of these places have lights, CCTV supervision is present only in 3% of the place, and about 7% of the locations have security guards.
Amitesh Kumar City Police Chief, who led the Multi-Agency Committee for Women’s Safety and Security in City, has shared a list of these places through DCP (Crime) Rajmane’s haze with NMC, MSEDCL and PWD.
This list was also shared with senior officials of Parishads Nagar in Wadi, Hingna and Kampee.
Nit and Mihan have also sent a list of vulnerable places located in their place.
Kumar said vulnerable places must have adequate illumination, CCTV supervision and the spread of guards as far as possible.
“We have told the department concerned about the security infrastructure and provisions needed in quiet and vulnerable places where women and girls can be targeted.
The police have their own strategies to secure these places, but multi-agency support is needed for Security is very easy, “Kumar said under who DCP Zonal also began a strong security improvement exercise too.
The city police have urged the Ministry of Civil and different government to illuminate the reasons, parks, parks and other open places and also spread security guards.
Kumar said the government’s resolution in 2015 has led to the establishment of the security committee for women’s safety under its leadership, which requires the creation of infrastructure such as road lights, CCTV installation and the spread of guards.
In the list of 173 vulnerable locations, copies with TOI, several famous places such as seminary, Ambazari Park, Jalan Pedestrian, Jalan Tanghedi, Taman Tangkhedi, Balododyan, Japanese Park, Mangalwari Market, CP Club’s back side, Gorewada Lake places side by side, Gorewada Ring Road, Maharajbagh and North Ambazari Road have been included.
On the outskirts, some lonely zones in Mihan, some stretching outside ring roads and adjoining areas, especially the upcoming layout of the population rarely, has been intended as insecure.
Many premises from old factories such as Empress Mall and Sutgirni are also categorized as vulnerable.
Some stretches and locations in MIDC, Kalamna, Koradi, Wadi, Bottarodi, Kampee and Kampee are only available in the list.
