After issuing notifications for city selection, the State Election Commission has given instructions to prepare for the design of the environment according to the 2011 census system.
This was decided to increase the number of selected representatives by 17% considering the average level of population growth between 2011 and 2021, because the census could not be done In 2021.
The estimated population of the Nagpur city was between 24 lakh and 30 lakh.
