Pune: The New Flyover, under Metro Viaduct, at Nal Stop Chowk on Karve Road is almost ready, with the final job stage is expected to get more than the next two weeks.
Civil authorities tend to open facilities for vehicles next month.
The review was recently carried out by Mayor of Murlidhar Mohol and Mahametro officials from the ongoing works.
The Mayor said Mahametro will hand over the flyover to Pune Municipal Corporation in the next 15 days.
Confirming, Hemant Sonange, General Manager (PR) in Mahametro, said, “Before submission, Mahametro and PMC will conduct a common survey of facilities to check whether all technical parameters are in place.” Works related to street lights, expansion connections, coloring, among others, are ongoing.
The mayor said, “Daily commuter difficulties on Jalan Karve will greatly decrease with the opening of tastes.
This project is pushed forward despite the challenge of Covid.
The Civic body will open facilities without delay.” PMC sources said BJP leaders were interested in the inauguration of the flyover facility before Civic poll.
“This is the main project for thousands of people who use Karve Road every day,” said a BJP leader.
