Panaji: The Indian Navy conducts the Maiden Sea trial for ‘Mormugao’, the second indigenous stealth destroyer of the P15B class on Sunday, coincides with the 60th anniversary of Goa Liberation Day.

(MDSL), the ship has been named after the port city in Goa.
Mormugao was launched in September 2016 when the late Manohar Parragar was the defense minister.
The Indian Navy plans to assign a hiding destroyer in mid 2022 when it will be known as ins Mormagao.
“Mormugao, the destroyer of the Stealth of the Second Indian Stealth of the P15B class plans to be assigned to the mid 2022, continuing to the sortie of the girl today.

Mormugao will add significantly to Indian naval combat capabilities.
The marine trial came less than a month after the Commissioning of Ins Visakhapatnam recently, the first of the P15B contract.

Mormagao has a displacement of 7,300 tons with a maximum speed of 32 knots.
This warship is equipped with surface missiles to the surface, surface-to-air missiles and anti-submarine rocket launchers.
It is also capable of carrying two anti-submarine warfare helicopters.
