Mumbai: The narcotics control bureau held eight people after searching for a cruise with the return to Mumbai on Monday, two days after the drug party on the boat was taken out of the city beach, said an NCB official.
NCB also found several documents and several materials, alleged drugs, after a search for six hours on the boat, the official said, without leaking further details.
The anti-drug agency on Saturday night destroyed a drug party on board, the company Cordelia Cruises, and caught the Bollywood Superstar Shah Rukh Khan Aryan Khan and seven others, including two women.
On Monday, NCB got information that the ship returned to the city after two days.
Therefore, NCB officials including zonal director Sameer Wankhede reached a cruise terminal and searched the ship on board, the official said.
Sleuth then held eight people and the last seen with a traveling bag in their hands when they were taken from the ship to the NCB office here.
After searching on Monday, NCB is likely to record a statement of cruise ship managers and owners, the official said.
On Saturday night, the NCB team, led by Wankhede, had raided the ship based on a tip-off that a party was scheduled on the boat.
Sleuth confiscated 13 GM cocaine, 5 GM MD, 21 GM Charas and 22 ecstasy pills and 1,33 lakh Rs, said the previous official.
During the attack, more than 20 Mumbai NCB officials have boarded a ship disguised as a customer.
There were 1,800 people on board, but after checking all asked to go except eight, including Aryan Khan, the official said.
In addition to Aryan Khan, the defendant who was arrested was identified as Munmun Dhamecha, Arbaaz Merchant, Ismeet Singh, Mohak Jaswal, Gomit Chopra, Nupur Sarika, and Vikrant Chhokar, official said.
The special holiday court had previously returned Aryan Khan, Munmun Dhamecha and Arbaaz Merchant in NCB arrived on Monday.
The anti-drug body has maintained a close watch on a cruise ship for 15-20 days after receiving information that drug parties will be held.
After confirmation, NCB did Raid on Saturday, the previous official said.
They said NCB could question Delhi-based event management company officials, Namas’Cray, registered as Caneplus Trading Private Limited, and Cruise Company Officials, Cordelia Cruises.
Companies (Based Delhi) are assigned to the management of the Cordelia Cruises’ Ship onboard ship, which should take place from 2 October to October 4.
All the organizers of the event are now under the NCB scanner, an anti-drug agent official said before saying.
Cruise company in a statement on Sunday said it had nothing to do with the incident.
