Vadodara: United Way of Baroda will sponsor children of children from a more financially weaker family if they lose one parent because of Covid-19 after March last year.
NGOs said it took the project because even if children had one parent, survivor could not take care of family financially and psychologically.
So far, assistance for 253 students has been approved under its project, “Shiksha ‘mission.
This project has been taken in Vadodara, Anand, Panchmahal, Bharuch, Narmada and Chhota Udepur.
Organizations have received 437 applications and 336 found to be eligible.
For 253 students The cost confirmation letter from the organization has been sent and the school fee is also processed.
The remaining application is in the process.
