Nagpur: 42 departments and three universities conducted from Nagpur University (NU) suffer greatly without the full time teacher.
A reply to the RTI query has signed that around 55% post empty teaching.
With a large number of teachers who come every year, the situation is worse for administration and students, NU officials said.
The reply given to the RTI queries about Abhay Kolarkar said that 332 posts of teachers, including Associates and Assistant Professors, were approved for NU.
From this only 118 is fulfilled until now, while 180 is empty.
Officials passed money to the government because they did not let it fill posts, even though there was a repeat request.
Raju Hiwase Registrar told TII Department of Higher Education and Technical State not allow them to fill empty posts since 2013, when the last recruitment occurred during the term of office of the Sapkal Vilas Vilas Chancellor.
“Only for the Laxminarayan Institute of Technology (LIT), we accept permission from the government to fill 17 teaching posts, it is also because orders from the Nagpur bench of the Bombay High Court.
The situation is more or less the same at all universities,” he said.
According to NU officials, around 72 posting posts were filled in 2013 because of the efforts taken by Sapkal.
After him, there was almost no serious effort taken by VCS after he reduced the growing job.
Crisis More acute vacancies in the University Department, especially those such as linguistics, political science, psychology, zoology, biochemistry, pharmacies and others.
Of the ten teaching posts in linguistics, nine empty while six empty in political science from eight.
Likewise, in the biochemistry department, seven blanks from ten while in Pharmacy 11 were not filled out of 23.
To plug in the crisis, the NU government began to appoint teachers in the department and conduct universities based on contracts.
These teachers are appointed for 11 months every year and are paid around RS25,000 remuneration.
But NU academics told TI quality had taken a big blow because of the appointment of the contractual teacher, who barely noticed students compared to the usual.
Even students complain many times in this case.
“There are hundreds of nets / sets who graduated from PhD students who are waiting for work since lasting years Stop carrying teachers seriously, because they easily remove the objective type papers in the absence of the right monitoring.
In the end, students will suffer in the future, “they said, adding that workload had increased to them because of the lack of teachers.
