Vadodara: For the first time ater April 2020, the number of new Covid-19 cases registered in the city and district in a day down to digits.
Eight new cases are registered in the city and the district on Friday.
This was detected from 1,142 tests carried out in 24 hours ending on Friday night.
This takes the total number of Covid-19 to 71,720 cases.
Last time, it was only April 27, 2020, that the city and district have registered cases in one digit.
Seven cases reported at the time took the total number of cases to 248.
However, seven new cases today were detected from only 148 tests.
The number of active cases on April 27, 2020, established in 204.
Against this active case on Friday only 117.
Fourteen Perosn had died of a pandemic on April 27, 2020 even when today’s figure stood at 623.
117 active cases on the day Friday includes six on ventilator or bipap machines and eight requires oxygen support.
New cases include four of each of the corporate boundaries of Vadodara City and four outside.
