Vadodara: a significant decline of 500 cases witnessed in the number of Covid-19 cases registered in a day in the city and district.
The fall occurs even though only a decrease in testing can be ignored.
The city and district registered 1,012 new cases of 6,430 tests conducted 24 hours ended on Saturday night.
Against this 1,512 case reported from 6,595 tests carried out until Friday night.
Even the Ministry of Health officials find it difficult to explain erratic numbers.
Compared to Thursday, Friday saw a higher number of cases even though testing was lower.
Officials maintained that they declared the numbers they received.
The number of active cases, however, remains in a constant decline.
On Saturday, 11,398 active cases were reported in the city and district which was only 403 hospitalized.
These include 27 in serious conditions in the ventilator or bipap machine.
Covid-19 deaths continue to drip with four more deaths confirmed by Vadodara Municipal Corporation.
The Death Toll now stands at 670.
