Gurgaon: Covid-19 case continues to show the trend in the city as 298 new cases reported on Saturday, a one-day surge in the highest in the past seven months.
Active cases also violate a 1,000 mark, with numbers now jump to 1,149 of 897 on Friday – a 28% increase.
The last time the city recorded more than 300 cases on May 23, when 308 new cases were reported.
The cost of the city case has now increased to 1.83.260.
According to the Ministry of Health data, 5,962 Covid tests were carried out in the last 4 hours, where 5,444 was a RT-PCR test.
Nine of 1,149 patients currently recovering from Covid are in hospitals or health centers, and the remaining 1,140 is in house isolation.
On Saturday, 46 people recovered from infection, took the total recovery amount to 1.81,184.
“The case will definitely go up, so we take steps accordingly.
We are doing adequate testing and will increase steps and when needed.
The instructions for only allowing people who are vaccinated in public places will also control the deployment,” said the head of the head medical head Gurgaon said Virender Yadav.
The city, meanwhile, reported another Omicron case on Saturday, raising the total number of variants to 34.
The patient was fully vaccinated and recently traveled to the US.
Health officials said six out of 34 active omicron cases, while the rest had run out after recovery.
“We have six active omicron cases now.
Two of them are in institutional quarantine and four are in house isolation,” Yadav added.
The Ministry of Health and Private Health Institutions, Meanwhile, inoculated 10,265 people on Saturday.
From them, 8,958 were in the age group of 18-44 and the rest were over 45 years old.
As many as 3,389 the first dose and 6,876 second dose were given.
Meanwhile, 141 session sites will be arranged for Covid vaccination on January 3 (Monday).
The Ministry of Health will establish 46 session sites for people over 18 years and 77 session sites for children aged 15 to 18 years in government institutions and schools.
Private health facilities will establish eight sites to vaccinate adults and 10 sites for children.
