Jaipur: producers of criminals that produce Desi Ghee who are falsified using Vanaspati oil sell their products at very cheap prices starting from Rs 250-350 per liter.
They become famous because they use certain chemicals that help them maintain the value of Butyro Refractometer (BR) and Reichert Meissl (RM) that match the value of BR and RM from good quality desi ghee.
The Ministry of Health Laboratory checks BR and RM values from samples collected from the market for Ghee quality checks.
Even Ghee is polluted through the BR and RM value test and the company is involved in counterfeiting runaway easily without any action.
The BR value must be in the range of 40 to 43 and the RM value must be at least 26 in accordance with the security and standard of food (food product standards and food additives) REGULATION 2011.
The company that produces Ghee is falsified using VanasPati oil using the type of chemicals.
When the sample was tested, the RM and BR values fit the ghee made of milk.
To fight malpractice, the Ministry of Health has made a mandatory profile test of ghee samples.
One sample that passed the BR and RM test test failed in a fatty acid profile test.
The test report reads, “Sample fatty acid profile does not match the profile of ghee fatty acids.” The same sample passes the RM and br.
Because the RM value is 30 and the BR value is 42 that matches the ghee valve produced from milk.
“Fatty acid profiles are an effective way to identify foreign fats in Ghee.

On October 12, Chief Analyst (Food) Pankaj Midda, took a ghee sample problem that was falsified in the top quality test on RM and BR Valves.
But, they failed in a fatty acid profile test.
He directed all food security officers to complete the profile of fatty acids from all ghee samples collected from the market for quality testing.
According to these sources, the fatty acid profile test is available in the government lab in Jaipur, but the Ministry of Health makes efforts to initiate tests in other government laboratories.
