Vadodara: To make a free way from livestock, the first site to move bovine animals stored in the city will be functional later this month.
The work on the site in Khatamba has begun after the state and BJP government decided to ensure that livestock did not deviate on the city road.
The state government has identified four large tracts of grazing soil to move livestock stored in the city.
This was handed over to Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC) which would develop infrastructure there to guard livestock and also made arrangements for livestock shepherds.
The source in VMC said that work on facilities will be spread over a square lakh foot.
This will be able to accommodate 2,000 livestock.
This facility will allow livestock owners to build their own nuances.
VMC will soon hold a meeting with livestock owners in the city and ask them to switch when facilities are ready.
After this tight action will be taken if livestock is found on the city road.
Meanwhile, the Civic body also wants to increase the capacity of the child’s pond intake.
Current ponds can currently save around 500 livestock.
VMC wants to add to this to around 750.
The source said that the increase in intake in ponds has been in the pipeline since some time now, but the work was not taken because of Covid-19 and lack of funds.
Funds are now available for the project, said source.
Expansion of pond livestock so that livestock concluded will also take place in Khatamba.
This is the only pool where space is available for expansion.
In addition to livestock ponds, it also has facilities for the birth control operations of wild dog animals.
VMC will also extend existing company contracts that maintain livestock maintenance in three ponds in Lalbaug, Typical and Bhutdi Jhampa.
This will be done as a bidding process to identify new companies still in the process.
