Thane: Newborn girls were found dumped in a trash can near the Court in the city of Bhiwandi District Thane in Wee Friday, police said.
A violation under the IPC part 318 (birth hidden) was registered at the Shanti Nagar police station against an unknown woman because she left a newborn child, an official said.
“The baby girl was found thrown into a trash near a compound wall of the court at around 1.30 in the morning.
The baby was wrapped in a green cloth,” he said.
The local police have launched the woman’s search, he added.
