New Delhi: The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has slapped the show that causes notices on the E-5 infrastructure that requested him to respond to why companies may not be blacklisted and prohibited from participating in future offers.

The source said the highway authority issued a notification last week and had set a deadline for companies to send their responses.
“After getting their response, we will decide on the next action.
Every step is being taken considering the legal aspects,” said an official, who did not want to be named.
Last month, the NHAI executive committee led by his chair had made a decision to send a strong message to the industry by taking strong actions against construction companies.
But the highway authority considers all the legal aspects before serving notice because this problem is now in front of the court.

The police claimed that the main defendant had developed hostility against Chawla because he refused to approve the design prepared by the company with legs on the bridge on Jalan Raya Gurgaon-Jaipur.
The company has pocketed an offer to build 14 feet on the bridge on this stretch at a cost of Rs 35 Crore.
When companies cannot complete work in a one-year deadline because of design problems, NHAI has imposed a Penalty RS 3.5 Crore.
