Mangaluru: Dakshina Kannada DC K V Rajendra said that the district government had decided to continue with curfew between 9pm to 5 in the morning until the order further.
The decision was taken after the government authorized the DC to decide on weekend restrictions in their jurisdiction, according to their assessment of the Covid-19 situation in their respective districts.
DC also said the shop owner and their staff must be vaccinated at least with a dose of covid vaccine.
Mandatory testing every 10 days must be done.
He is looking for their cooperation towards the local health and administration team, in testing and taking detention.
Meanwhile, the city of Mangaluru MLA D Vedayas Kamates said that weekend pyrament was charged to curb a surge in the case of Covid-19 in the district it would be relaxed.
