MySuru: MySuru reported the first case of the Omicron Covid-19 variant on Thursday.
According to officials from the Ministry of Health and the Welfare of the Family Welfare, a 9-year-old child who returned from abroad was found infected with Omicron variants.
The child is asymptomatic.
Primary and secondary contacts are being tracked and tested by the authorities.
It can be remembered that after Bengaluru Urban, Mysuru became the second main city in the state to reach 100% the target population of the first dose Covid-19 vaccination coverage.
According to data, on Wednesday, 872,770 (100.07%) of the targeted population of mysore urban was given with the first dose.
81.83% of the targeted population is given both doses.
About 98.11% of the targeted population who lived in Mysuru Rural received the first dose while 82.59% of the population was fully vaccinated.
In the district, 97.29% of the targeted population received the first dose, while 79.63% of the targeted population received both doses.
