Nipah scare: Thermal scanning is done in Talapady

Mangaluru: After scare Nipah in neighboring Kerala, the Administration of Dakshina Kannada Regency has strengthened supervision in Talapady.
Along with checking the negative reports of Covid-19 from commuters between countries from Kerala, the Ministry of Health has begun to examine every symptom related to Nipah.
Meanwhile, the police also kept tabs on the supply of fruits to districts from Kerala.
Assistant Commissioner of Police Ranjith Bandaru said that the commuter body temperature was being examined using a thermal scanner, and those who had any symptoms will be sent back.
After the death of a boy because Nipah in Kozhikode Kerala, a warning was stated in Dakshina Kannada on Monday.
Dakshina Kannada DC KV Rajendra has appealed to people to be careful.
“Since Dakshina Kannada marched with Kerala, and a large number of people traveling for health, education and business, Nipah’s warning was announced.
The officials concerned have been directed to take all the necessary preventive steps,” DC said.
