Nagpur: Chairman of NMC Dharampeth Zone Sunil Hiranwar, a BJP Corporator, has established a directional board using funds from Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) who lack money (NMC).
The color similar to his party has been used in the background.
The board has broken whatever limit left of the path.
He has installed a new board that shows the direction not only for the house of his leaders but also to his residence even though one board like that is already in the same place.
In accordance with NMC norms, the background board must be blue with words on the white font.
In the past, Hiranwar had sanctioned money from environmental funds to establish the board with a purple background.
Now, he has given RS3 lakh sanctions for 32 boards.
In the last few days, seven boards with green and orange backgrounds, which are basically BJP colors have been established.
Officials from NMC Dharampeth Zone told TII that the contract was given to an upright board with a blue background.
“Hirans seem to have directed contractors to use different colors.
We will replace it with the color that is permitted,” they said.
In accordance with NMC norms, Civic’s body funds cannot be used to establish a board to show the path to the Canestators or Netas house.
Hiranwar has set up two boards located on each side of the trail on Jalan VIP.
MSEDCL and NMC have established transformers that cover half the width of the path on the WHC road in Dharampeth.
NMC has also installed a traffic signal post there.
Now, the remaining part has been taken over for establishing a board that highlights the way to the House of Hiranwar’s Party Leader.
The council has been established right on the square of Vidhan Bhavan showing the direction to the square itself.
Hiranwar said, “I will delete the board if there is an object.
They are not the color of our party but it’s good to get attention,” he said.
Corps Corporate Pressur Gudadhe said BJP has used cheap publicity using public money.
Tender has been issued under the quote system, which has led to various deviations in the past.
