Vadodara: In this country, the state tribal population has the number of cases of the highest crescent cell anemia but, not one cent who was enforced from the coffers of the Ministry of Conscience in the United States in the last six years to help the state handle Malaise.
This information was revealed in Lok Sabha on Monday by Renuka Singh Saruta, the State Union Minister for Tribal, in response to questions.
The response described also shows that other countries, who do not have a case of crescent cell anemia or have a lower number of cases than Gujarat, have, has received funds released by the Ministry of RS 60 Crore to fight this disease and for screening.
Countries such as Himachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Telangana, Tripura and Uttar Pradesh did not have a case of sickle cell anemia, but received Rs 421.87 lakh, the minister said.
The next minister said that more than 86.4 tribes in Gujarat had been played in collaboration with the Indian Medical Research Council and the Biotechnology Department, including 29,266 people found suffering from the disease.
More than 7.2 Lakh people were detected by the nature of sickle cell anemia, which is also the highest in this country.
Suruta told the lower building that a project had been given to the National Tribal Research Institute to map crescent cell anemia among tribal and organizational communities working in the crescent cells and the availability of blood banks in coordination with health and family welfare ministries.
The state has started a control program of the crescent cell itself in 2006 in the five South Gujarat Regency on the basis of public-private partnerships (PPP).
This was then expanded to seven other remaining tribal districts.
Then, the community control of Gujarat crescent cell anemia was formed and the state government had even requested the unification of the Ministry of Health and the Welfare of the Family to launch the National Crescent Cell Anemia Control Program.
