Noida / Ghaziabad: Gautam Budh Nagar reported 600 new Covid cases on Thursday, pushing the calculation of active cases to 1,706, the highest in Uttar Pradesh, so far.
Ghaziabad, who has also witnessed an increase in rapid infection, recorded 382 new cases.
At present, this district has 1,180 active cases, officials said on Thursday.
According to the State Ministry of Health, the level of participants in these two districts is currently more than two percent – 2.6% in GB Nagar and 2.07% in Ghaziabad.
GB Nagar, meanwhile, topped the list of countries with 600 new cases, followed by Lucknow with 408 new cases, Meerut (401 cases) and Ghaziabad (382 cases).
Uttar Pradesh, according to the health department bulletin, adds a total of 3,121 new cases on Thursday.
It also indicates that the active case above increased by more than 37% in just one day to reach 8,224.
Only double cases with the same level in 24 hours.
Officials said that GB Nagar himself contributed more than one fifth of the total active case in the state.
Ten cities, they added, are home to around three of the total active case load.
The list includes Ghaziabad, Lucknow, Meerut, Varanasi, Moradabad, Agra, Kanpur Nagar, Prayagraj and Saharanpur besides Gautam Budh Nagar.
Additional Secretary of the Head, Health and Family Welfare, Amit Mohan Prasad suggested that not panic.
“Prevention is a must because the level of the case is increasing rapidly.
But panic will not help.
People need to pay attention to their actions in individual and social interests.
Also, prevention strategies remain the same as before,” he said Dr Sushma Chandra, medical supervisor’s head From the Covid Noida Hospital in Sector 39, meanwhile, told TII that 22 patients were currently being hospitalized while 529 patients were in house isolation.
Most patients, he said, have mild symptoms without the need for ICU revenues.
“We have 22 patients in hospitals and among them, two are foreign nationals.
All is a mild symptomatic case, and no one is serious or needs oxygen support,” said Dr.
Chandra.
At least 30 patients have also been treated at Yatharth Hospital in Greater Noida West, officials said, adding that around 12 senior Sharda doctors had been tested positively and were in house isolation.
Meanwhile, overall 19,751 beneficiaries were vaccinated in 95 government centers in the district.
Among them, 6,100 beneficiaries are in category 15+.
4,930 beneficiaries, which received their first dose, were in the group of 18 years +, officials said.
