Noida: With less than two months left for the deadline for the Supreme Court to topple the twin towers, Noida Authority officials said on Wednesday they will be ready with a rough plan for the process of demolition on October 12th.
Authorities are preparing bid documents to help Roorkee Central Building Research Institute (CBRI) and will float tenders next week.
To oversee the entire process, the seven-member committee has been constituted which includes additional CEO and senior officers of the division of engineering and planning.
In the coming days, Noida Authority will also bring RWA emerald court to discuss the parameters and safety procedures to be followed for the exercise.
Officials said they would also write to the Group Supertech and take detailed pictures of the Twin Towers along with a map for understanding the structural details, construction materials and other points.
CEO Additional Neha Sharma said, “We hope to destroy the twin towers before 30th of November.
CBRI told us that Indian companies have the expertise to handle the exercise demolition.
Tenders will soon diapung to find the agency that fit.” CBRI has been seeking time till 11 October to prepare a detailed plan to bring down the towers.
The cost estimate will also be mentioned.
Supertech has to bear the costs of dismantling and transportation of debris from the site.
Secretary General of the RWA, Pankaj Verma, said, “We will share the concerns of people living around the Twin Towers with the Authority, Noida.
We will also require a civil engineer who will coordinate with the authorities and suggest steps to minimize the impact of the explosion.” Residents will also appeal to the authority to increase the estimated cost for the necessary measures to ensure protocols for structural and environmental safety are followed, taking into account family concerns that remain in the same housing block.
