Noida: Unit Noida from the Top Police Special Task Force (STF) on Thursday claimed to have arrested the fifth shooter in connection with the alleged attack on the Convoy of the Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) politician in Bulandshahr.
Three weapons, including two Glock guns made by Austria, have been confiscated from their ownership.
Police said Arvind Poswal (33) was involved in an attack on the Convoy of the Leader of RLD Haji Yunus in Bulandshahr on December 5 which resulted in the death of one person.
“We received a tip-off of the presence of poswal in Bulandshahr on Thursday.
The team put a trap and managed to peel the poswal,” said the supervisor of the police (STF) Raj Kumar Mishra.
During the interrogation, Poswal told the police that he was offered money for the attack.
“The gun confiscated from the shooter was provided to him by his handler, Haris, who left the country and fled to the UAE two days before the attack,” Mishra said.
“We collect more details about the ownership of a very sophisticated gun.
Seizures have placed the power of the country alert.” On December 5, the convoy of the RLD leader was attacked by five shooters, who opened fire indiscriminately in the car.
Five people suffered sustainable injuries in the attack and one was killed, even a reply launched by Junus’s helpers.
Two of the defendants had been injured in the exchange of fire and were arrested, while two more were arrested by Nabed.
