Noida: On the occasion of World Cancer Day on Friday, a special drive to test cancer among citizens will be held in five clinics in the district – four public health centers (CHCS) and district hospitals, said district health officials.
“Our team will monitor the patient’s body mass index (BMI) along with other parameters tested when screening for cervical cancer, oral cancer and breast cancer.
These are some of the most common forms of cancer in India,” said Dr.
Sunil Dohre, Nodal Officer for the program NCDCP in Gautam Budh Nagar.
In addition to playback at this facility, people – especially women – will be trained to examine the initial symptoms of breast cancer.
The cancer awareness program will also be held at Yashoda Hospital in Ghaziabad where patients come to hospitals will disease disease.
“This year the World Cancer Day theme ‘closes the care gap’, which we try to create maximum awareness among the community.
Special online sessions will also be held where doctors will address questions related to people’s cancer,” said Dr.
Abhishek Yadav, Superindent Medical, Hospital Yashoda.
