Noida: A 26-year-old woman was found dead in rented accommodation in Sector 73 Noida, police said on Wednesday.
Her husband, who suspected the police for the murder, was lost and many teams had been formed to arrest him.
The woman, identified as Ashmeen, a native of Bulandshahr, has been hit in the head with a heavy object, police said.
He lived with her husband, Khalid, in Sector 73’s Mahadev Apartment, at the time of the incident.
“On Tuesday night, we received a call at around 11:15 a.m.
at our help number, where the caller told us that a woman was killed at her residence.
Our senior officers rushed to the place with a dog squad and forensic team,” Sharad Kant, Station House Officer (SHO), Sector Police Office 113, said.
The woman was found dead, police said, adding that the body was sent for post-mortem.
“During the investigation, Ashmeen Aasma’s sister said that she called her sister several times on Monday, but the latter never picked up the phone.
He then tried to call him on Tuesday and once again, there was no response at the other end,” said Kant.
Aasma then contacted relatives, identified as Zafar, who lived in sector 70 and on Tuesday, he went to Mahadev’s apartment to examine Ashmeen.
“Zafar found the door locked from the outside and informed Aasma, which then also reached the apartment.
He then went to the police station to file a complaint of Ashmeen who was missing, while Aasma with the help of several others, broke the open key and entered the house just to find her sister lying down Dead, “the officer said.
In the complaint submitted by Aasma, he had named his brother-in-law Khalid for the murder.
“He said that both of them were married for the past 10 years and had two children who lived with their grandparents in Bulandshahr.
The defendant used to suspect his wife after marriage and they had moved to Mahadev’s apartment about five months ago,” Sho said .
