Noida: Wooden Ship Alone does not prevent Dalelpur villagers from voting

Noida: It’s almost like a ritual that comes every few years.
The voter card came out of hiding, a single repaired boat and the village crossed Yamuna in the group.
That’s the way Dalelpur has been voting because it remembers.
The village of 200 voters does not have the right way or permanent electrical connection.
There are no hospitals or good health care facilities.
The villagers cannot remember the last time they saw prospective party visit them to find people.
Nothing has changed in Dalelpur for decades.
So, why do people make so much effort to give their voices every time there are elections? “It’s our job for sound.
We can’t let our people go throw away, “said an elderly resident.
Surrounded by Haryana on three sides, Dalelpur, however, came under Dadri constituents from UP.
Yamuna separates this village from Dadri.
And crossing the river is the only worthy of choice because another way is to make a 40km detour through Faridabad, Delhi and Noida via road.
“Some villagers have vote here since 1984.
But the government and the government have ignored us for years,” Vikas Kumar Sharma (33) said.
“But most of us never miss the opportunity to sound.
If we have to go to the voting booth in Gulawali (Dadri), we must first walk on the muddy road to reach the river bank.
We then formed a group to cross the river on the boat.
It takes less than making a trip of 40 km via road, “he added.
The single wooden boat that Dalelpur had to cross the river broke a few days ago.
But it doesn’t hinder the villagers.
“We make a new one,” Sharma said.
He added that villagers had tried to build their own bridge, but it was allegedly stopped by the government, which accused them of sand mining.
“All schemes announced by the government stop before Dalelpur, on the other hand the river,” he added.
Pradhan who plays an important role in persuading young villagers to make a difficult trip.
“Every election is hope for us – that new leaders will at least visit us.
Apart from the boat, I was also arranged for the bus to take the village to the sound booth, “said Kailash Singh, Pradhan.
But the trip is not the only obstacle for villagers.
Even after reaching the sound booth, many alleged voters that their names were not in the list.
“Last time, we were promised a motorboat.
But as usual, no one departed.
Some villagers are angry and do not open the current vote.
We will ask the government to ensure that our visit is at least and see the condition we live, “Neeraj Tyagi said, a resident.
Over the years, many residents have left Dalelpur for better opportunities.
“They will at least get basic facilities,” Tyagi added.
