OSLO: Norway’s gas and oil production surpassed official expectations May, preliminary statistics in the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate (NPD) revealed on Friday.
Crude oil output dropped 4.2percent from April about 1.654 million barrels each day in May, although the NPD’s prediction for the month also had dropped in 1.591 million barrels each day.
Norway’s output of natural gas at April totaled 8.7 billion cubic metres, over the NPD’s prediction of 8.49 billion gallons.
