Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Rail Development Corporation Limited (KRDCL) has been asked to make a presentation before the State Minister Raosaheb Patil Danve next week as an introduction to approval of the SILVERLINE project detailed project report.
This project has not received permission from the Ministry of Railway and the Department of Economy (DEA).
According to government records, the corporation of Indian train finance (IRFC), one of the institutions expected to fund the project, will start processing files for the project only after receiving approval from the train board.
As part of land acquisition, notifications in accordance with surveys and unders Act, 1961 have been issued in Kannur and Alappuzha.
According to Notice 6 (1), the survey officer must publish notifications that invite everyone to have interest in the soil or within the boundaries that surveys to appear directly through the agent when called for the purpose of showing land boundaries.
Notifications have not been issued in other districts, including Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Kozhikode, Malappuram, and Kasaragod.
Proposals from the district collector to publish 4 (1) notifications to conduct a social impact assessment study (SIA) are awaiting permission from the government.
Proposal for external funds for this project is waiting with DEA, which has asked the state government to provide an effort that this project will be independent of budget support from the Railway Ministry (MOR) and that if the Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV)) fails In debt service, the obligation will be borne by the state.
The file regarding guarantees on bearing responsibilities have been postponed with the State Finance Department since July 16, and the Minister of Finance has not received a call on this issue.

The Ministry of Finance has not approved this proposal too.
KRDCL also looks for at least Rs 20 Crore for the establishment and cost of contingency and also to regulate infrastructure for land acquisition units.
