Novavax applies to whom for an emergency list of Covid-19 vaccine

and the partner of the Serum Institute of India has registered with the World Health Organization for the list of emergency use of the Covid-19 vaccine Novavax, the company said on Thursday.
The WHO emergency use list is a signal to the National Regulatory Authority on the safety and efficacy of the product.
It is also a prerequisite for exporting to several countries participating in the Covax vaccine sharing facility.
The NovaVax and Serum Institute, the largest vaccine manufacturer in the world, has committed to together providing more than 1.1 billion doses to Covax facilities, which aims to provide fair access to the Covid-19 vaccine to low and middle income countries.
Novavax’s shot was a protein-based vaccine, and has shown 90.4% of the overall efficacy in trials in the United States and Mexico.
