Panaji: Students who have failed class IX and XI during the 2020-21 academic year will now get the opportunity to appear for class X and XII 2022 public exams as private candidates.
The Central and High Secondary Education Council of Goa has approved a proposal as a concession once for students during the Pandemic Year.
Concessions will give those who fail to benefit from cleaning higher classes and saving their year, encouraging them into further study.
The previous board also revised the scheme for private candidates to emerge for class X and XII public exams in 2022.
In accordance with the revised scheme, private candidates will also benefit from the year and internal assessment.
The benefits of this sustainable and internal assessment will help in evaluating better students to emerge for the council exam as a personal candidate.
All results do not depend on the way they appear during the final x or xii exam.
Last week, the Board was looking for advice from the general public about the proposal, after the input received by the Board Committee and the proposal was finally cleared.
“After extensive deliberation, it was decided to allow students to ‘need to improve’ class IX and XI students from the academic year 2020-21 to emerge as private candidates regardless of age in the next public examination 2021-22 for class X and XII respectively, as each Size once given the situation of the Covid-19 pandemic.

There are minimum age criteria for students to appear as personal candidates for public examinations.
These criteria have also been abolished to allow younger students to find concessions only one time.
To appear as a personal candidate, students will also be allowed to choose their current school or other schools, which will act as their center and carry out evaluations throughout their year.
“Schools choose students to register as private candidates will give them the study material and the guidance needed on a voluntary basis, and conduct internal assessments and send signs to the council for further necessary actions,” Round countries.
