Patna: Senior JD (U) Minister of Education and Education Vijay Kumar Chaudhary on Friday Increases a request for a special category status grant to Bihar to eliminate his backwardness.
Inaugurating a two-day national seminar on ‘increasing agriculture productivity and farmer income in Bihar’, organized by the Patliputra School of Economics (PSE) at Aryabhatta’s knowledge university here, the minister said even though the fastest annual growth rate was recorded in the country for the past few years, Bihar It has been placed at the bottom in a recent report about Niti Aayog on a multidimensional poverty index.

“If Niti Aayog feels difficult to fulfill the demand for special status to the state, the center must allocate financial assistance to the state in the ratio of 90:10 to ensure the desired economic growth,” he said.
The minister claims that the state has made extraordinary progress in the field of agriculture for the past 15 years through three good agricultural roadmaps and agricultural cabinets.
“With a 96% increase in rice production, 84% in wheat and 125% in corn, the overall productivity of the state agriculture has increased rapidly during the period.
Farmer income also increased accordingly and this is why the country’s per capita income has increased from Rs 8,000 in 2005- 06 to 50,000 RS at this time, “he said.
The minister regretted that because of severe commitment, the Bihar River dried up.
He begged to formulate a management policy on the national level so that the drying river can be saved.
Members of Niti Aayog Ramesh Chand describe some areas where the situation is left behind and begs with special attention to their improvement.
He suggested that organic culture and tissue culture must be carried out on a large scale to improve food security and state environmental conservation.
The principal Secretary of the Ministry of Education Sanjay Kumar and Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture N Sravana Kumar also discussed the seminar.
The Director of PSE S K Bhaumik welcomed the guests and introduced the seminar theme.

Leading economists and academics from the main institutions of this country participate in seminars.
Topics are being discussed in nine different sessions including the cost of planting and returning agriculture in Bihar, agricultural risks and plant insurance, irrigation development and water management for agriculture, climate change and agriculture, development and evaluation of rural infrastructure government schemes for agricultural development.
