Guwahati: NSCN (IM) has agreed to continue peace talks with new interlocutor, former Special Director of IB AK Mishra, after an important meeting between Assam CM Himanta Buswa Sarma and head of the negotiator, in the morning, on Tuesday.
Since 1997, there are five opponents talking center in dragon talks, with Mishra a sixth.
Apart from them, several senior political leaders, including Oscar Fernandes, were involved by New Delhi to hold talks on conclusions.
Mishra replaced RN Ravi, who was also the Governor of Nagaland and was transferred as Governor of Tamil Nadu last week.
After Ravi fell with NSCN (IM) for the two demands – a separate flag and Constitution of Dragon – The longest displaced peace talks in the country (24 years) stopped suddenly in January 2020.
NSCN leadership (IM) refused to continue.
Speaking during Ravi remained as opposed to talking.
Nagaland CM Neiphiu Rio, who was also present at the meeting, said, “Today’s discussion between Assam CM and NSCN (IM) was full of participants.
They (NSCN-IM) have decided to continue the conversation.” Rio added, “Minister of Chief Assam Delivering a message sent by the Ministers of Union Amit Shah Ji, who has expressed his happiness for NSCN (IM) agreed to continue the conversation.
The minister at home also stated that the solution must be reached earliest and the government was open to discussion.

” Rio also informed that in response to Muivah’s two letters to PM Narendra Modi on February 25, 2020 and June 12, 2021, the Secretary of the Competitives had answered as directed, “AK Mishra has been allowed to continue the conversation with NSCN (IM).” He added, “The Secretary of the House stated that the Prime Minister also wanted to resolve the problem of dragon so that peace, calm, economic activities and development could begin in Nagaland.” Then, after the meeting, Sarma said in a tweet, “we are all interested that the ongoing peace talks immediately paid off concrete results.” He added in other tweets, “Adnariya PM Sri @narendramodi and Adarniya HM Sri @amitshah is committed to ensuring eternal peace in the northeast.
