“The documents found during the search will be examined by the financial wing officers of the vigilance and accountants who are prevented and banking consultants.
Cyber cells will examine all electronic evidence / documents found during the search,” said vigilance.
Examination of witnesses, the suspect, and accused of having to be done in time, said the official, added that the investigation continued.
Previously, a case was registered against Panigrahy on October 4 following the direction of Lokayukta.
Searches are made in 15 places in Bhubaneswar and Ganjam District on Sundays.
Documents relating to the purchase of land, jewelry, bank passbooks, credit / debit cards, laptops, cellphones, and other articles confiscated during the RAID carried out by SP cell vigilance, two additional SPS and 17 DSP, official said.
Towards Simultaneous searches, the Directorate of Precautions had verified the Secret of Property Gopalpur MLA last year on charges of accumulated assets illegally and submitted a complaint against it with Lokayukta on December 9, 2020.
The vigilance wing was directed to launch questions about this problem.
The investigation revealed that Panigrahy had made large illegal profits as public servants between May 24, 2009, and 30 November 2020, and submitted an investigation report to Lokayukta on May 28 this year, they said.
The statement issued by vigilance said that after examining the report, Lokayukta noted that there was a case of the Prima Facie on it below the prevention of the Corruption Court and authorized vigilance to conduct a search under the Odisha Lokayukta law as part of an investigation.
Panigrahy, once aide near the head of the head of Naveen Patnaik, was arrested by the wing of vigilance in the case of cheating people with false work promises.
The 56-year-old legislator was imprisoned for about seven months and was released with a guarantee in June this year.
Panigrahy was expelled from BJD which was in power responsibility for “anti-person” activities in November last year.
