Bhubaneswar: More than 39,000 families who meet the requirements of a weaker socio-economic section in this country have not received a house under the Pradhan Mantri Beware of Yojana-Gramin (PMAY-G), a written reply by the Union Minister for Rural Development, Niranjan Jyoti, at Lok Sabha shows.
In return for demand by Bargarh MP Suresh Pujari, Jyoti told parliament from 41.72 lakh households listed in the Socio Economic and Caste Census (SECC) 2011 list in Odisha, 18.75 lakh verified as qualifying under PMAY-G Like on December 16.
The state has not provided home sanctions to 39,180 temporary beneficiaries of 1,99,882 houses of sanctions unfinished from the 18.75 lakh beneficiary available through SCC 2011.
The country has sanctioned 18.36 lakh.
From here, 16.75 lakh houses were finished.
The Union Minister said there was a target to build a 2.95 crore house under PMAY-G in the country to achieve housing goals for all in rural areas.
