CORAPUT: With the detection of 42 fresh Covid-19 cases, Ringgada District Administration stated two areas of Raya Kota Raya Detention Zone on Saturday.
Officials said Covid-19 patients were detected during drives specific health care screening after Dussehra, and all patients did not show symptoms.
“As a precaution, we launched a special health care drive against Covid-19 in the urban area of the urban area after the festival.
New cases were detected when testing the antigen test,” said Collector (Raya) Saroj Kumar Mishra.
These cases were found in two slums in DFO Lane in the city of the district headquarters and regions have been declared “micro detention zone” for the next 14 days to contain the spread of the virus, he added.
According to collectors, except children, all affected patients have taken a double dose of vaccines against Covid-19.
Most of the people affected are vegetable vendors and they are asked to stay in house isolation.
“At present, the condition is stable.
If needed, they will shift to a dedicated Covid Hospital.
Officials have been calculated in the micro detention zone to monitor their situation,” Collector added.
