Bhubaneswar: Suman Mallick’s Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) hopes for a big party on a midnight Friday to welcome New Year’s Day.
He wants Mutton to be part of the menu.
But instead of buying it from the market, he decided to grab a goat to deviate near the police station in Sindhelala in the Balalanir district.
What he bargained was seen stealing one and then suspended by the district police brass the first.
Police Supervisors (Balangir) Nitin Kusalkar said Mallick’s ASI had been placed under a suspension for making a mistake with goat owners and stealing one for a party.
“Based on an internal investigation, we suspend ASI.
Our investigation found that breastfeeding stole goats, helped it and ate meat.
There were no other police personnel involved in the action,” Kusalkar said.
He said the owner of the goat, Sankirtan Teacher, had not filed a written complaint so far against Malkick.
“The law will take its own path as the goat owner submits a complaint to Him.
Then, the police will be ordered for theft,” SP was added.
SDO S Satapathy said the teacher’s daughter saw Mergku stealing a goat on Friday afternoon and told his father.
“The villagers claim they see breast milk slaughter,” Satapati said.
The source said about learning that the goat had been slaughtered, the owner brought the assistance of the villagers to protest.
The villagers then led Seige to the police station, producing Maldick’s suspension.
“After we entered the police station, we saw blood stains and some meat in the backyard, where the milk quarter was,” said the teacher, adding that my Mall had managed to escape fear of revenge from the villagers.
Teachers are small farmers who raise goats to increase their income.
He told the police that he could get Rs 12,000 by selling goat action and Mallick was robbed from the opportunity.
