BHubaneswar: BJD, BJP and Congress are arranged for another round of campaigns as a process for the 30th September pipeline starting on Monday.
The campaign could not be a high voltage amid restrictions imposed by the Indian Election Commission (ECI) because of Covid-19.
The poll panel has blocked road shows, bicycles or demonstrations of cycles during the campaign.
The parties focused on door-to-door campaigns and street meetings with a small meeting to reach voters.
“We will focus on door-to-door campaigns and hold small street meetings after Norma Covid,” said Pratap Khari Deb, BJD observer for Pipilli by-election.
The sources of the party said that they had not yet decided whether the main minister, who was also a star campaign, would campaign for BJD candidate Rudra Pratap Maharathy.
The BJP leader Rama Ranjan Baliarsingh said: “We will campaign by adhering to the protocol issued by the poll panel and we hope all parties will also do it.”
