Bhubaneswar: Head of Odisha’s Head of Odisha Naveen Patnaik will perform the Puja Bhoomi of the Shrom Mandir Parikrama Yojana or the Heritage Jagannath corridor project in Puri on October 18.
The announcement came to the heel of the Temple Administration who received a certificate of not objection (NOC) from the National Monument Authority (NMA) to smooth project implementation.
“The minister’s chairman will hold the commencement of the project ceremony, where we have received NOC from NMA, followed by Bhoomi Puja,” said Chief Administrator Kris, Krisar Kumar, after a meeting with Nijog chhititis, a confederation of various associations.

The big event and Yajna will be held in front of 450 officials, including Swami Shankaracharya Puri Nischalanda Saraswati and Puri Raja Dibyasingha Deb, near the North Gate of Jagannath Temple on that occasion.
Implemented at a cost of nearly Rs 800 Crore within a 75-meter radius of the temple, the Corridor Heritage project imagined Mutts development, Jagannath Shree’s receipt center, facilities for worshipers and security improvements for the temple.
This project is part of the augmentation of basic facilities and the development of a legacy and architecture scheme (Abada) to develop castle as a world-class inheritance city.
The government has bought land from 115 families around the temple to carry out projects.
At least 512 shops and 24 huts were evicted for a 75 meter corridor project.
In addition, the qualities of 25 mutt were obtained for the project.
The government has, so far, pays Rs 289.34 Crore on the acquisition of land for that purpose.
The purpose of this project is to provide a wide and unobstructed corridor around Meghanada Powerful (outer boundary wall) to provide the worshipers of the opportunity to have a panorama view of the temple, Neelchakra and Meghanada Powerada.
The inheritance corridor will be divided into 9 layers – green buffers that surround the temple complex, the inter-pradakshina line, a zone landscape, pradaksshina’s language, public convenience zone, shuttle pathway, a mixed traffic lane and pedestrian path.
