Bhubaneswar: In a large assistance, all 246 samples were collected and sent to the Insacog Laboratory, Institute of Life Sciences (ILS), between 29 November and December 5 for the sequencing of the genome had returned negative to Omicron, but showed the existence of the Delta variant.
Also, the study of genomes from a sample of four negative foreign returns for Omicron.
“All samples of covid positive people were sent to the US since Omicron Waspada was issued, entered through genomic studies and no one revealed the omicron variant.
We also conducted a sequencing of the samples sent from various districts every day,” said Ajay Parida, Director of ILS .
On Thursday and Friday, there were no samples for the sequencing genome sent to insacog laboratories by the district government.
“Samples sent for genomic studies are compiled by district administration.
We have not recorded samples that come to ILS.
They must have been preserved and will come on Saturday,” Niranjan Mishra, public health.
The health authority said they had so far been able to find a 6,133 database that returned foreign, which had submitted a self-declaration form on their subetha air portal back to India.
Of the 6,133, the government has separated 1,303 which returns from risky countries.
“Out of a total of 6,133 foreign returns, we have recorded the arrival of 3,324 people and everything is under supervision.
We can track them who arrived.
We will collect data traced people so we get it from the district,” said Bijay Mohapatra, Director, Health Services.
The risky countries identified centers are European countries, South Africa, Bangladesh, Botswana, China, Mauritius, New Zealand, Zimbabwe, Singapore, Hong Kong and Israel.
