Mumbai: In what can indicate the initial transmission of the Omicron community, the state on Wednesday confirmed 38 cases of rapid spread variants in people without international travel history.
Overall, the state announced 85 cases of omicron in Maharashtra on Wednesday, taking the total number to 252.
47 which remained including 43 international travelers and four of their contacts.
