Mangaluru: The price of airplane tickets returned to the pre-covid level because the airline witnessed the cancellation and fewer reservations for scare Omicron.
The ticket price for the return from Dubai to Mangaluru has fell by almost 50% in December compared to October rates.
For example, airplane tickets to coastal cities from Dubai and return travel which cost Rs 1 lakh in October are now given a price of rs 50,000 or less.
The airline flew to the Middle East saw the flow of passengers during the annual school holidays, Eid al-Fitr and Christmas holidays.
During these periods – starting June to December – double rates.

In October, ticket prices were more than 150% more for flights to stop with and 200% higher for direct flights from all airports in India to Dubai and Sharjah.
Pandemic and bubble travel arrangements have limited the number of flights.
The initial seat capping rule also produced prices up from Rs 9,000-Rs 12,000 to RS 16,000-RS 25,000.

Now, one-way rates of Mangaluru-Dubai until mid-January are in the range of Rs 21,000 to Rs 25,000 and around Rs 30,000 on weekends.
In October, the same ticket was valued around Rs 50,000.
With a booking slowly take in the last three days, the official said that Dubai-Mangaluru’s return rate had risen by Rs 6,000 from Rs 45,000 to RS 51,000.
