Gurgaon: Three brothers, who returned home, after closing their shop near the 93 sector, allegedly hit by a fast vehicle on Friday and killed in place.
The deceased has been identified as Sunil Pandit (24), Randhir aka Sanjay Pandit (28) and Sudhir Pandit (35).
The incident occurred near the 91 sector, when the brothers were on a motorcycle and headed to Tajnagar village in Farrukhnagar.
According to the police, the brothers have two shops – cellular repair and equipment stores – in Hayatpur village near sector 93.
On Thursday, after closing the shop, like another day, they climbed to the house.
Immediately after, they were beaten by unknown vehicles from behind and they fell on the road.
Locals around the incident rushed to the nearest hospital, where they were declared dead on arrival.
The brothers came from the Bihar Madhubani district and had settled in Gurgaon a few years ago.
Their uncle, Ashok Pandit, was the first time to receive information about their death and rushed to the hospital at night itself to identify their bodies.
“I was surprised to hear about the incident and was asked to identify the body.
Then, I went to the place where the accident happened.
This is a tragic incident.
Their body has been sent to Bihar,” he said.
It was 11 years ago that the brothers shifted to Gurgaon and opened two shops.
Immediately after, the rest of their families also settled in the city one by one.
Cellular repair stores are run by Sudhir and Randhir, where they provide services such as money transfers and netbanking.
Equipment sold Sunil in another store which is a few meters away.
Randhir was just married six months ago and that’s when the brothers collected their money and built a new home in the village.
“Everything is over now.
There is nothing left for the family.
They brought this land six years ago and have built a house six months ago.
They want to live a happy life in their own home,” said Dairanand Pandit, the cousin of the deceased.
Sudhir Pandit, who is the eldest of three siblings, married and has two children.
Sunil Pandit recently joined the family business and helped both brothers.
They don’t have other brothers.
The police said that they were checking CCTV cameras to track the defendant.
Cases have been registered at the Sector 93 police station under Section 279 (rash driving) and 304-A (causing death due to negligence) IPC.
