PANAJI: Muling a 10-20% discount on your restaurant bill or in your favorite cafe? What needs to be done is to show their finger indexes after voting at the Select restaurant, and the offer claims.
The Commission has banned the sale of liquor in hotels, restaurants and shops 48 hours before the election, which basically means the restaurant-bars in urban areas will be closed.
However, restaurants in the capital and several cities offer discounts to encourage people to choose in large quantities on Monday.
“Most hotels have advanced to offer discounts on their bills to encourage voters, especially the younger generation.
Even though not everyone participates in this, it is a good sign in the part of the relief people to take it after discussion with EC,” said Gaurish Dhond, President, Association of Goa hotel owners and restaurants.
He further said that this is a city-based hotel in Panaji, Margao and Mapapa who are most likely to apply the offer on Monday.
“We are happy to give a 20% discount to anyone who comes to the restaurant with the voters’ Mark,” said Ashish Limesty, the owner Antares, Vagator.
Niyaaz, chain of restaurant specializes in Mughlai cuisine, will have a 10% flat discount just for eating customers.
“This time selection is very important, and our restaurant has been renamed with discussions with many of our Goan customers who discussed development politics.
When North Coo Collectorate asks us to offer discounts, we are more than happy to do it,” said the regional manager of Niyaaz Fauz Bagwan.
With the election date that coincides with Valentine’s Day, Joel huts in Betabatim have decided to offer young couples to date discounts, which will be calculated based on their bills.
“If both parties can show their inked fingers, they can claim a discount,” said Luis Fernandes, who manages the hut.
Copper, known for Talis, was also eager to accommodate young couples in his restaurant.
“We offer a 10% discount as an incentive for voters at our Porvorim and Taleiga outlets,” said the Sangale Pundale restaurant manager.
In some cases, even takeaways take this initiative.
Koteshwar cuisine offers a 10% discount at Takeaway Outlet – Bicholim and Sanquelim.
The prospect has stimulated the tastes of young voters who hoped to go ‘Cafe Hopping’ on Valentine’s Day immediately after training their franchise.
“We will start from Porvorim and then make the road to several leading restaurants in Panaji.
Because Cremex is one of my favorite cafes and offers a 10% discount, I am most eager to go there,” said Foodie Erica d’Souza.
