Prayagraj: The saying ‘Today’s Youth is the Tomorrow leader that applies to the University of Allahabad.
Once students and members of the AU student union, now compete with each other as political leaders in assembly competitions.
Public utas among them is their relationship with a 135-year-old university.
In Prayagraj, of the 12 assembly seats, five have candidates in a commotion that is not only the former University of Allahabad, but has banned the basics of politics by becoming a carrier of the AU Student Union (AUTU) office.
Many of these leaders have won the election in the past too.
Among the former students of this institution were Anugrah Narain Singh, Congress candidate from Allahabad North Seat.
After winning the Ausu election as president in 1979, Singh tasted success in state politics in 1985 when he won the chair as a candidate Lok Dal.
He was elected back from the same seat in 1989 the election assembly, only this time he was a candidate for Janta Dal.

Former bearer of other office Ausu and former minister in the Country Cabinet, Rakesh Dhar Tripathi has been President Ausu in 1980.
He completed MA (1976-77), LLB (197-07) and PhD ((2006-07) from AU.
Thw MLA four times from Handia’s assembly chair (1987, 1989, 1996 and 2007) has been a candidate from various political parties.
This election, Tripathi has joined Apna Dal (s) and is a party candidate from the Pratappur seat.
Former President of the President AUSU, Richa Singh (2015) has monopized the center of this election Voice.
Likewise, Sandeep Yadav is another active face of the politics of the district students who have made their first into politics from Allahabad North Surgraj.
A former CMP student title College., SEO The College of AU Constituent Rang, Yadav has been active in student politics in college and in AU too.
Even though he had not won the workers’ union election, a member of Samajwadi Chatra Sabha, he was active in protests and agitations performed by SP in the last five years, after he had been given a party ticket from Allahabad North.
Congress Candidates from the Pratappur assembly chair are Sanjay Tiwari.
He was President Ausu in 2002-03 from the NSUI panel.
The State Secretary of the Party, Tiwari will face another former President of Auspo Rakesh Dhar Tripathi in the same seats.
Leaving Prayagraj, BJP MLA’s name twice from Phephana (Bali), Upendra Tiwari is worth mentioning.
Tiwari has become a 1996 AUSU vice president and again in 1998 from Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad.
In 2012 and 2017, he won a seat as a BJP candidate and party candidate in this election.
