Ranchi: SUVs that quickly cut a student and injured two other people near the Jharkhand State Cricket Association (JSCA) Stadium on Monday morning which led to protests by the local community.
This area has a heavy spread of the police after a winter session that is ongoing from the Assembly.
Local residents were angry at the rash drive, even though there were barricades and the spread of the police inside and around the region.
The deceased has been identified as Nikhil Kumar (22) aka Deepu.
He is a student of Yogada College.
Deepu came out in the morning when the incident happened.
Two other pedestrians – Dipak and Rahul – also injured after being beaten by the SUV.
Rahul underwent treatment at the hospital, while being used back home after light treatment.
Local residents burned tires in Raod to block traffic and demanded the direct arrest of the perpetrators.
Based on CCTV footage, the police arrested the driver, Nitesh Kumar, and won his SUV.
Officers responsible for the Dhurwa Police Station, Praveen Singh, said, “Forgiving too often in the area because the roads are wide and generally remain empty, especially in the morning.
The defendant will be forwarded to prison.” Excessive overreaking has caused many accidents and victims in Ranchi in the past.
Ranchi witnessed 509 accidents between January and October this year.
As many as 350 people were killed and 275 were injured during the period.
