Vadodara: Increasing the fear of local transmission from the Omicron variant of Covid-19, a woman from the city of Vadodara without a history of foreign travel or contact with infected patients was found infected with a new variant.

The woman was stable and under house isolation.
14 close contact was tested and found negative for Covid-19.
Samples of nine main contacts were collected again on Friday.
Overall, 20 omicron cases have been reported in the city.
