Gurgaon: Haryana will launch this week’s mobile app to connect patients to all government hospitals throughout the state.
This system will eliminate the patient’s need to bring its full file to the hospital every time they visit a doctor because it will maintain their medical history database, officials said.
Patients can download the Swasth Haryana application on Google Playstore or Apple Store and register details.
No ID needed to show evidence of residence.
They can upload their health records, recipes, and X-ray reports and then order appointments with doctors, including orthopedic specialists, otolaryngologists (ENT), surgeons, psychologists, pediatrics, and others.
While the application will not provide tele-consultancy, it is expected to be able to help in registration and appointment of bookings in advance.
This application will also direct patients to services such as ordering tests, placing blood demand, looking for a guide for the nearest hospital and the availability of tracking beds.
The pathology report will also be available for registered patients.
Also, after getting their testing reports through this application, the patient has the option to get e-consultation on the e-Sanjeevani application, which can save their time and energy.
This application will also provide guidance on contributing blood, adolescent menstrual hygiene, pregnancy, and immunization for newborns.
While this application is free, patients must pay services such as tests and diagnostic procedures.
The cost for tests will be available in the application.
Pre-registration on the application is set to cut the waiting time for patients.
“We have established a counter in all government hospitals for those who have pre-registered in the application so they are not asked to stand in the queue.
They can only collect cards and go directly to the doctor,” said Dr.
Virender Yadav, Chief Medical Officer , Gurgaon.
Health officials say this service is intended to ensure patients get appointments with specialists easily.
It would be very helpful for people with comorbidity and pregnant women, they added.
Initially, the application would serve 22 civil hospitals and 15 sub-division hospitals in Haryana and finally, it will connect patients to more than 400 government hospitals throughout the state.
