Muzaffarnagar: The only ‘Shikhsha Mitra’ is responsible for dealing with 225 children because of the lack of teachers in the government elementary school in Shamli District Uttar Pradesh, an official said.
Before Covid’s induced locking, two teachers were posted at school in Khanpur Village, Umesh Kumar, a member of the Panchayat district, said Wednesday.
One died while the others had stopped, said Kumar, who had asked the district judge to appoint more teachers.
A ‘Shiksha Partner’ is an elementary school teacher appointed by the Basic Shiksha Parishad (Education Council) from the Government of Uttar Pradesh, under the right of children to free and supervise educational regulations, 2011.
